Beezy Tarts - Caramel Macchiato

Scent Description: Caramel, French Vanilla Creamer, & Freshly Brewed Coffee.

Date Received: May 17, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4/5 A typical coffee type scent. I usually associate this smell with Yankee Candle stores.

Warm Sniff: 4/5 A delicious, not-too-nutty, not-too-milky rendition of coffee. Slightly bakery-ish.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire kitchen, office, hallway, and entryway.

Melting Power: 5/5 Half of a scent shot lasted 9 and a half hours.

Repurchase: I'm going to go with yes. I really enjoyed this scent!

I don't think I've found 'The One' in terms of coffee blends so much as my nose has just undergone some changes. I feel like I'm less picky than I was a year ago. Either way, it opens up the scent horizons for me.

Beezy Tarts - Marshmallow Pumpkin Bread

Scent Description: Sticky Marshmallow, Pumpkin Puree, Pumpkin Spice, Brown Sugar, and Bread.

Date Received: May 17, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer.

Cold Sniff: 4/5 Sweet, cinnamon-ey pumpkin bread with creamy marshmallows.

Warm Sniff: 3/5 Holy cow, that cinnamon went up a notch. The creamy marshmallow pumpkin bread was still there, but this very much became a cinnamon-centric scent. I'm not quite sure that's what I was going for when I melted this.

Scent Strength: 2.5/3

Scent Throw: >3/3 This filled the entire kitchen/dining area, hallway, office, part of the living room, and all of the entryway. Basically, this puppy threw.

Melting Power: 5/5 I got about 10 hours of scent from half a tart cup.

Repurchase: Probably not, just because there was so much cinnamon in this melt. I'm all for cinnamon scents, but that wasn't what I was going for here.

Beezy Tarts - French Lavender & Honey

Scent Description: A dupe of the popular Bath & Body Works scent.

Date Received: May 17, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 5/5 This is one of my favorite scents from Bath and Body Works. How could I not like it in authentic wax form?

Warm Sniff: 5/5 No surprises once melted. I was hit with some surprisingly strong memories from April/May 2014 while melting this, which I'm not sure if I should be happy or sad about. It was a difficult time because M was gone, but it was a good time because I grew a lot as a person.

Scent Strength: 1/3 This was surprisingly light, given how strong I feel the BBW version is. Not bad, but I was surprised.

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire kitchen/dining area, office, and hallway.

Melting Power: 5/5 I got about 10 hours of scent from half a tart cup. Score!

Repurchase: Yes! I'm glad I picked up two of this!

Beezy Tarts - Lemon Poppy Seed Pound Cake

Scent Description: Top notes of Candied Lime savors, Lemon syrup, and Bergamot extract; followed by middle notes of Poppyseed muffin, Brown Sugar, and Clove Bud; sitting on base notes of Marshmallow Fluff, Vanilla Cake Batter, and White Musk.

Date Received: May 17, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 3/5 A very fizzy lemon scent. I go back and forth on lemon scents, so it takes a very particular kind of mood for me to pull this scent out. In my initial haul post I mentioned that I could not pick up on the pound cake. On second sniff, I can say I do, in fact pick up on it, but it's still very faint.

Warm Sniff: 4/5 A bit less fizz and a lot more creaminess. Incredibly lemony, but very delicious!

Scent Strength: 3/3 "Liz, what are you baking?"
"Nothing."
"Why do I smell lemon cake?"
"Wax."
"Your wax gives me false hopes and dreams."

Scent Throw: >3/3 This filled the kitchen/dining area, hallway, office, entryway, and some of the living room.

Melting Power: 4/5 I got about 7 hours of scent from half a tart cup before switching out the scent. I probably could have gone for longer, but I was desperate for a more calming scent after the assault that this was.

Repurchase: Yes! I may try and blend this with softer scents in the future, but it's quite a pleasant lemon scent!

Beezy Tarts - Berry Splash

Scent Description: Plump Blueberries, Juicy Raspberries, Sweet Clementine, with notes of Loganberry, Cassis, Violet

Date Received: May 17, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 3/5 A berry medley with a very tart backdrop and a hint of something artificial, bringing to mind years of wearing children's makeup and playing dress up with my sister.

Warm Sniff: 3.5/5 That artificial note dies down considerably, but that really tart backdrop is still there.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire kitchen/dining area, hallway, and office.

Melting Power: 3/5 I got about 4.5 hours of scent from half a tart cup before I replaced the scent.

Repurchase: Probably not. It was okay, but it didn't wow me or anything, and at times the tart note seemed to be too much for my nose. I might pick up another one just to round out an order or to use as a mixer, but I wouldn't make an order just for this scent.

Beezy Tarts - Cactus & Sea Salt

Scent Description: Cactus, fresh green elements, salty accents, sea moss and warm driftwood.

Date Received: May 17, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4/5 Quite an in-your-face cleaning day type of scent. Incredibly salty. I feel like I'm in some sort of laundry detergent commercial with an open house plan, white window curtains, and all doors and windows lend themselves to a beautiful view of the beach & sea.

Warm Sniff: 4/5 No surprises once melted.

Scent Strength: 3/3 "Hey honey, what are you cooking today?" "I don't know, all I can smell is your wax. So my nose's conclusion is soap. Soap is what we're having for dinner."

Scent Throw: >3/3 This filled the entire kitchen/dining area, hallway, office, entryway, and part of the living room.

Melting Power: 4/5 I got about 7 hours of scent from half of a tart cup.

Repurchase: Yes! Though I may only melt this by the quarter tart cup. Half a cup might have been a little much for the house, our noses, and our taste buds. LOL

Haul: Beezy Tarts March 2016

Ah, Beezy. The vendor whose wax I seemed to always get in destashes but never ordered directly from.
This year I aimed to change a lot of my previous experiences with vendor wax and ordered directly from said vendors. Sniff My Tarts was one of those vendors. Beezy is another.

I placed this order on March 6 and it shipped on May 9. A nine week TAT (technically within the stated TAT of 35-40 business days) that felt longer than it actually was. I think it's just because I was worried about missing the package and it being sent back. Our mail center only holds mail for so long before it's returned, making it important that we check mail frequently.

I've had his wax sitting in front of me for about 3 weeks now, so I think I should finally get to posting about it, yes?

Beezy Tarts - Peach Margarita

Scent Description: I just got a straight up Peach scent. I'm not very familiar with margaritas, though, so it could've been there and I wouldn't recognize it.
Weight Melted: 1.8 oz. I thought I told myself I was going to chop up my Beezy Tarts before melting them...
Cold Sniff: 3/5 There was something almost sour behind the peach. I wasn't sure what it was, but it did not agree with my nose.
Warm Sniff: 4/5 That sour note went away and I actually found myself enjoying this scent quite a lot. When I was younger I hated peaches, and while I still don't care to eat them they at least smell nice now.
Scent Strength: 2/3
Scent Throw: 4/5 This wasn't quite able to reach the bedroom.
Melting Power: 4/5 I got about 12 hours from this tart
Repurchase: Yes. No. Maybe? By all means with the performance I should say yes, but I still don't like peach scents enough to pick it up on its own... I don't know, I still have my teen viewpoint on whether I'll like something or not. I'm weird, I know. Stop judging me! I guess what I'm saying is I wouldn't make an entire order just for this scent, but if I wanted something else to round out an order I was already placing I wouldn't mind picking this up.

Beezy Tarts - Pumpkin Marshmallow

Scent Description: According to the website: Sweet Sticky Marshmallow blended with Creamy Pumpkin. I get a hint of cinnamon here. Besides that, this is an almost sickeningly-sweet and marshmallowy pumpkin. Somehow I associated this with Thanksgiving, even though I'm pretty sure this is a Halloween type scent. Maybe it was that cinnamon I picked up on.
Weight Melted: 1.9 oz.
Cold Sniff: 4/5
Warm Sniff: 4/5
Scent Strength: 2/3 Whenever I smell cinnamon I can't ever put the scent as a background scent.
Scent Throw: 6/5 Wow, I think this is my first >5 tart I've melted. I was worried when I weighed this out and noticed it was almost twice the amount of wax I normally melt, but I felt too lazy to chop it up before melting some. M could smell this at the bottom of the steps that led to our apartment level, if that makes sense. Basically this tart extended very, very far.
Melting Power: 5/5 I got roughly 30 hours of strong scent from this before I decided to call it quits. It was just too darn sweet at that point!
Repurchase: Yes! I very much enjoyed this scent and how it performed. Next time I'd make sure to chop this up before melting, though :)

Beezy Tarts - Carrot Cake

I'm trying to clean/toss stuff as I unpack, and I have an ever growing pile of wax containers that I'm keeping to ensure I actually post about them. I can't really clean my desk, though, until all this stuff is tossed. Thus, I'm putting together some posts for these so I can finally toss the containers!
Cold Sniff: 5/5 This smells exactly like carrot cake. No 'sort of' or 'I see where the name came from.' This is carrot cake.
Warm Sniff: 5/5 I feel like I was baking this entire time this was melting. I absolutely love carrot cake, so to have something that smells exactly like it is dangerous to my stomach. I craved carrot cake for an entire day... though I'm proud to say I didn't give in.
Scent Strength: 2/3 It wasn't an in-your-face scent, but you definitely, definitely knew something was happening. When M came home for the day he asked me what I was baking.
Scent Throw: 5/5 Every single room of the apartment enjoyed the pleasant scent of carrot cake. Mmmmm, yummy.
Melting Power: 5/5 I put it on in the early hours of one morning and it was still going strong the next morning when I saw M off to work. At that point I needed to change the scent.
Repurchase: YUP! This is my first Beezy Tart I've melted, if I remember correctly. If all of their tarts throw this much, I may have to make sure I order from them in the future... depending on how much more it'll cost me to send stuff to Germany or Japan. To answer Deb and Julie's questions, out of the options we have we are trying to opt for Germany or Japan. If that changes, I'll let you ladies know, but we're being told that we should be able to get a location we want, no problem.
