Scent Description: "Pink Sugar Type & Cream Brule'e"
Date Received: June 2013
Weight Melted: 1.3 oz
Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer
Cold Sniff: 4/5 I don't get anything besides pink sugar on cold sniff, but I'm a fan of PS so I'm a fan of this. :)
Warm Sniff: 4/5 There are those other notes. In the beginning there's a slightly bakery type note. Not bready but definitely bakery. Then pink sugar comes in, first blending with that bakery before drowning out any other note.
Scent Strength: 1/3
Scent Throw: 2/3 This filled the kitchen/dining area, hallway, and some of the office.
Melting Power: 3/5 I got about 5 hours of scent from 1/2 of this mini loaf.
Repurchase: Yes. While Pink Sugar ended up as the dominant and final note, I did enjoy what this scent did as it melted. I also see that Jen brought this blend back for her more recent openings. Nice!

Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery and Confections in Wax - Glazed Cinnamon Donut/Zucchini Bread
Scent Description: None available.
Pretty self explanatory though. On cold sniff I think of very strong cinnamon toast.
Date Received: June 2013
Weight Melted: 1.2 oz.
Location of Warmer: Living room, in tealight warmer.
Cold Sniff: 3/5
Warm Sniff: 0/5 I don't think I've ever hated a scent this much before. I literally got nauseous from the scent. Then when I left the area all of my possessions smelled like bile and tortilla chips, and I had to wipe down and scrub every surface I could in the living room. I don't like zucchini bread, and I didn't have high hopes for melting this, but that was a whole new level of yuck. I do recall that the glazed cinnamon donuts part of this melt really died off.
Scent Strength: 2.5/3
Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire living room.
Melting Power: 3/5 This was going for about 5 hours before I turned it off. Why so long? I was asleep for the first 3 hours and in another room for the other 2. I regret every hour of it melting.
Repurchase: No. I feel really bad saying such awful things about this blend, but I promise I did not intend to 100% talk crap about this melt. I liked the cinnamon toast note on cold sniff and I've had a few successful zucchini blends before, so I hoped for that here.

Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery and Confections in Wax - Cotton Candy/Grape/Pink Serendipity
Scent Description: None available, but I think the blend is rather self explanatory.
Date Received: Some time in June of 2013.
Weight Melted: .14 oz.
Location of Warmer: Living Room
Cold Sniff: 2.5/5 I could only pick up on Serendipity on cold sniff. I don't particularly care for serendipity on its own, as I'm sure you're aware by now. I love it in blends, though! This just didn't smell like a blend.
Warm Sniff: 2.5/5 Unfortunately, no change. Serendipity was all that this tart turned out to be. If the other scents had made an appearance here I feel like this could have been an amazing blend! Alas, it was not meant to be.
Scent Strength: 2/3
Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire living room.
Melting Power: 3/5 I let this go for about four hours before I went ahead and turned off the warmer.
Repurchase: No. If I ever find a serendipity blend that isn't all serendipity I would probably fall head over heels, but the scent by itself is not something I'm a fan of. It's that cherry note! It's fine in a blend, but by itself I feel like it's too suffocating.

Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery and Confections in Wax - Legally Blonde
Scent Description: Iced champagne mixed with sweet raspberry and cranberry.
I don't get anything very fizzy here, but everything else from a typical Blond Moment blend is there.
Date Received: Some time June 2013. What? No, I don't hoard my stash.
Weight Melted: 1.7 oz
Location of Warmer: Living Room
Cold Sniff: 4/5 I quite enjoy blond moment blends without their fizzy component. How convenient that this tart lacks that fizz!
Warm Sniff: 4/5 No surprises once melted.
Scent Strength: 1.5/3
Scent Throw: 2/3 Filled most of the living room.
Melting Power: 5/5 I got about 10 hours of scent from this tart before the scent died off.
Repurchase: Yes! If Jen's blend this time around is the same blond moment sans fizzy notes, I will definitely want some more! It's so nice to finally say I can reorder from JLCCW if I want to.

Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery and Confections in Wax - Apple Butterscotch Cake
Scent Description: A sweet and cakey bakery scent with a huge amount of apple.
Weight Melted: 1.56 oz
Cold Sniff: 3/5 I'm not usually a fan of apples, so either my nose is changing what it likes or this had enough bakery to make it a more pleasant to me scent.
Warm Sniff: 4/5 I really liked this! The apple is definitely the main scent here but there is just enough generic pie crust bakery scent that I'm loving it.
Scent Strength: 2/3
Scent Throw: 5/5 This threw in the entire upstairs and most of the downstairs entryway and dining room. Definitely a strong one!
Melting Power: 4/5 I got a solid 15 hours from this tart before I got bored of the scent and turned off my warmer. The scent still stayed for several hours after the fact, though.
Repurchase: Yes! I think I'm finding that apple scents don't bother me as much as they used to. Oh, the possibilities this opened up!

Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery and Confections In Wax - Carnival
Scent Description: Cake batter, strawberry crunch, and cotton candy.
Weight Melted: 1.7 oz.
Cold Sniff: 5/5 I really enjoyed this. It wasn't too sweet, but you could definitely get all of the notes in this scent.
Warm Sniff: 5/5
Scent Strength: 1/3
Scent Throw: 5/5 Oh my! Everywhere! It was very light in the bedroom but still there, nonetheless.
Melting Power: 4/5 >16 hours. I fell asleep around that mark and the scent was gone by the time I woke up, so I know it lasted somewhere between 16 and 22 hours.
Repurchase: Yes! I was able to cut this chunk into two and depending on how long I want it to last, I might be able to chop that last chunk up. As I've melted more of my JLCCW stash my excitement level for their opening has just grown! How about you? Have you ever melted JLCCW before?

Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery & Confections In Wax - Sex On the Beach + Aloha Pineapple
To celebrate JLCCW's potential reopening (does anyone else remember the last time they tried reopening?) I decided it was time to break out this pie!
Scent Description: Since JLCCW is closed, I must use my sniffer to describe this! I get a banana gum smell mixed with something pineapple and a hint of vanilla.
Weight Melted: 2.5 oz I had such a hard time chopping this up. Not due to the wax being too hard, but my own ineptitude. It was horrible. By the time I got a slice I decided I was just going to go with it and hope everything turned out okay.
Cold Sniff: 3/5 That weird gum smell was... well, weird!
Warm Sniff: 4/5 This is a very sweet pineapple scent. I enjoyed it!
Scent Strength: 1/3
Scent Throw: 5/5 This is a very light scent, but it still threw very far!
Melting Power: 5/5 I should've chopped the chunk up even more, but I was lazy. LOL. I got 36 hours of straight scent from this
Repurchase: Yes! If I could and JLCCW actually gets to open this year. I don't want to be pessimistic, but I keep thinking back to the last time Jen tried opening up again and she ended up pulling out of the project. I'm excited for the possibility that we could all get some lovely JLCCW again, but I won't get my hopes up like I did last time. I understand that life gets in the way and stuff happens, but dangit I really was looking forward to the opening that never happened!
In other news, I am completely sore right now. My shoulders are sore. My back is sore. My thighs are sore. My butt is sore. My outer abs are sore. I may have some lower belly flab, but I see muscle over the rest of my stomach. Woot! Such definition! It makes me happy!
Another area of my body that I'm working on (and why that area is so sore) is my arm area. I want definition! Tone! If you've ever seen Predators (2010), look at Isabelle's arms and that's what I'm aiming for.
M is almost off of his profile for his hips, and him and I will be able to start running together again. I'm intrigued as to what changes added cardio will make on my body.
For my food, I've taken to either having a protein shake or eggs (preferably eggs) every morning. That way I start off my day well fed and with a fair amount of sustenance. Besides that, I switch between healthy options (sandwich or soup or salad) and... well, not so healthy options (let's just eat popcorn all day, shall we?). Yeah. I'm working on it, though.

JLCCW - Avalon
Scent Description: Tahitian Waterfall and Vanilla Bean Noel are what's in here, if my research has turned up correct results. These two combine to create a very relaxing scent.
Weight Melted: 1.2 oz.
Cold Sniff: 3/5 I was uncertain when I first smelled this. It was something 'green' and a little perfumey, but that's all I could really think of to describe it.
Warm Sniff: 5/5 I loved this as it melted. I can only describe it as relaxing. Towards the end I did notice that the VBN faded off quite a bit.
Scent Strength: 2/3 The Tahitian Waterfall is a little too strong for this to be a downright background scent.
Scent Throw: 5/5 It filled the entire apartment with its loveliness.
Melting Power: 4/5 I got 16 hours out of this fella before switching it out for another melt.
Repurchase: Yes, but I can't. Insert long rant about how much I miss JLCCW right here.
I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I've decided to add a 'weight melted' section to my reviews. That will help figure out if what I'm melting is actually good for the amount of wax melted.

JLCCW - Yellow Brick Road
Scent Description: None available from her website, as she had to close down to dedicate more time to her family. Upon searching teh interwebz I have come across this: a blend of lemon cupcakes, sugar cookies, and vanilla bean noel.
Cold Sniff: 4/5 Very strong lemon with a bit of bready-ness to it.
Warm Sniff: 4/5 The lemon tones down and the vanilla and sugar cookies blend with the lemon to create a pleasant foody scent.
Scent Strength: 1/5 If the lemon were stronger this would be a more prominent scent. As is, it's simply a pleasant almost-lemon scent :)
Scent Throw: 4/5 It didn't quite fill the bedroom of the apartment. Everything else it was able to reach
Melting Power: 4/5 This little bit of wax lasted about 12 hours before I took it out. I wish I weighed this before I melted it... It really doesn't seem all that big.
Repurchase: I would... but I can't. JLCCW's been closed for over a year now :( I've been saving this stuff, and I've become so obsessed with not melting it this makes two things I've melted from her in the past year LOL. The rest of stuff I've 'used' ended up being extras in a destash or I sent them to Julie :) I've entertained the idea of selling off what I have left, which is about 5 1/2 pounds. I kid you not. I just took the photo box full of JLCCW and weighed it just now. 5 lbs, 12.5 oz. And that doesn't count the full sized pies I have in a separate box alongside other loaves and pies from other vendors..
I have a problem.

Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery & Confections in Wax - Cheer Bear Dough
Cold Sniff: 3/3 A nice, sweet berry scent with just a hint of bread.
Warm Sniff: 3/3 The same. This isn't one of those hidden surprise scents.
Throw: 3/3 This had barely started melting and I could already smell it in the entire apartment.
Melting Power: 3/3 I melted this for about 16 hours total before I decided to go ahead and dump the wax. I'm getting better about not hoarding my wax... maybe. I'm a complete liar - I still have entirely too much.
Scent Strength: 2/3 I don't know... I don't think I've ever really encountered an overpowering scent. Either that or I just don't melt them. Maybe because I just don't like powerful scents. I don't want my nose burned off from the scent... I just want to set the mood!
Repurchase: Yes, if I could. Unfortunately JLCCW has closed their doors due to family issues. I wish them the best and understand their decision, but it still sucks to find an awesome wax maker and then fall in love with their products right before they close. Luckily I have another little tart like this since I wanted two of each scent.
So... epic fail time for me. I had like 20 different posts scheduled, and I've been going through and adding more to the mix... and I never actually scheduled any of my posts. So they're sitting in my drafts folder... finished... waiting to be published. Uuuugh.
