Satin Suzie Scents - Berry Bellini

Scent Description: No scent description available.

Date Poured: November 22, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.8 oz

Location of Warmer: Office, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 3.5/5 Very fizzy and tart, almost like a starburst.

Warm Sniff: 3.5/5 That tart note died down a lot while melted, but this was still an enjoyable scent.

Scent Strength: 2.5/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire office and probably would have extended beyond it if I didn't already have other fragrances melting outside the office.

Melting Power: This lasted through one tealight candle (about 5 hours) and it seems like it would have lasted through at least part of another tealight candle.

Repurchase: Probably not, just because I'm not a fan of drink type scents and they're not really ones I reach for myself.

Glitterati - Pomegranate/Cucumbert Mint/Watermelon

Scent Description: No scent description available.

Date Received: June 22, 2016

Weight Melted: .55 oz, in tealight warmer

Location of Warmer: Office

Cold Sniff: 5/5 A slightly tart fruity blend. Perfect for Summer!

Warm Sniff: 5/5 That tart note died down a lot, and I was instead left with a very pleasant fruity blend with just a hint of cool mint.

Scent Strength: 1.5/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This tart threw past the office and into most of the entryway.

Melting Power: Lasted through 1 tealight candle (about 5 hours). It smelled like it could have lasted much longer, if I'd desired.

Repurchase: I just did! Whenever my 2016 custom order comes in, you may find that I have a lot of repeat scents. I really wanted to stock up on scents I've loved from Janine over the years.

Glitterati - Violet Toasted Marshmallow

Scent Description: Delicate Floral/Toasted marshmallows by the fire.

Date Received: June 22, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.7 oz

Location of Warmer: Office, in tealight warmer.

Cold Sniff: 5/5 A slightly sweet and smoky floral, with just a hint of sticky sweet goodness.

Warm Sniff: 5/5 No surprises once melted.

Scent Strength: 1.5/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the office and poked its way through a closed door into the entryway.

Melting Power: Lasted through 1 tealight candle. It could definitely have lasted longer, but I find myself content with melting each scent only once while I'm trying to melt through what I have.

Repurchase: I just did! My name just got called up for the 2016 customs list, yahoo!!

I haven't quite revisited my wax rating system since moving, so I'm kind of in a transitional stage for some of my rating system. Bear with me as some of these things get adjusted!

Also, it's been so long since I've melted anything in my tealight warmers. I've been making do with a (please don't kill me Deb) Christmas type cranberry and spice wooden wick candle I got for Christmas. We didn't get our household goods until the middle of March, and I swear somewhere along the line packers must've stolen our many boxes of matches. Either that or the matches were in some of the boxes that went missing in the move. Sigh. In any case, I finally remembered and picked up some matches the other day and I'm slowly getting back into the hang of melting things. I don't have a little wax station set up with a cutting knife, basket of "to-review" wax, pen and paper, and a scale, but I'm getting there.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 Filled the kitchen, hallway, and office with its delicious goodness.

Melting Power: 4/5 I got a little under 8 hours of scent from a piece of this chunk.

Repurchase: Yes! I think I'm going to try experimenting with some blends with the rest of the chunk I have. Wish me luck!

Glitterati - Pink Sugar/Marshmallow Fireside

Scent Description: Strawberry, bergamot, musk and vanilla/sweet, smoky BBW type.

Date Received: June 22, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.5 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4/5 Mainly marshmallow fireside, with just a hint of pink sugar in the background.

Warm Sniff: 4/5 The smoky notes got slightly stronger, but otherwise no surprises once melted.

Scent Strength: 1/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the kitchen, hallway, office, and entryway.

Melting Power: 4/5 I got about 7 hours of scent from a piece of this chunk.

Repurchase: Yes! This was a wonderful juxtaposition between a more smoky, outdoorsy scent and a tried and true (for me at least) home fragrance.

Glitterati - Little Black Dress/Tea & Cakes

Scent Description: White carnation, blood orange, sandalwood, black rose, smoky wood, patchouli, toasted vanilla bean, vetiver, amber, and musk/none available.

Date Received: June 22, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.4 oz

Location of Warmer: Guest room, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 5/5 How do I describe this? A delectably exciting blend that brings to mind sultry date nights and a nice drink. Not too musky, not too heavy. Hides somewhere between bakery and 'other.'

Warm Sniff: 5/5

Scent Strength: 2.5/3

Scent Throw: >3/3 This filled the guest room, hallway, entryway, and kitchen.

Melting Power: 5/5 I got about 11 hours from a piece of this chunk, and the scent lingered long after I stopped melting. Definitely a strong blend with lots of staying power.

Repurchase: Yes. I have to get my hands on larger quantities of this blend when I next can!

Glitterati - Strawberry/Eucalyptus/Cucumber Mint

Scent Description: None available/Perfect wintertime-sniffles scent that will uplift your spirits and clear your airways/none available.

Date Received: June 22, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.4 oz

Location of Warmer: Living room, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4/5 A combination of sweet strawberries, cucumber mint, and a blast of eucalyptus to wake you up.

Warm Sniff: 4/5 No surprises once melted.

Scent Strength: 1/3 It's there, but it's a surprisingly light scent.

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire living room and a little bit of the highway.

Melting Power: 4/5 I got a little under 6 hours of scent from a piece of this chunk.

Repurchase: Yes, though I think I will try and melt a little more next time. This scent was a lot lighter than I expected!

Glitterati - Blue Cotton Candy/Pink Chiffon

Scent Description: None available/exotic fruits, vanilla orchid, sweet vanilla, whipped chiffon musk.

Date Received: June 22, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.6 oz

Location of Warmer: Guest room, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4/5 A nice, sweet, slightly musky blend between sweet and sultry goodness and a strong kick to the face.

Warm Sniff: 4/5 No surprises once melted. These two blends mix together quite nicely.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: >3/3 This scent burst out of the closed guest room door and added the entryway and hallway to its fragrant range.

Melting Power: 5/5 About one fifth of a chunk lasted about 10 hours. Talk about a whammy.

Repurchase: Yes! It's a good thing I'm on both the mystery and customs list that are being worked on.

I realized the other day that I hadn't been melting very much Glitterati. I couldn't figure out why until I remembered that my Glitterati was in a completely separate drawer from the rest of my wax. When I reach for wax, I reach by scent category and not vendor. When putting away my Glitterati stash last summer I had no space in my drawers and ended up putting it all in its own drawer. Thus, The Forgotten Wax.

Thus begins Project Glitterati. I'm going to try to exclusively melt Glitterati until I've melted every scent at least once. This kind of sucks, because I don't have many Fall related scents in my Glitterati stash and I'm itching to start melting for Fall. All the more reason to melt through my Glitterati faster, muahahah! How many times can I say Glitterati in one paragraph? Glitterati.

Lasting Scent Candles - Sweet Kisses

Scent Description: Cakes and frostings, sweet kisses. Formerly Sweet Decadence.

Date Received: April 8, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.8 oz

Location: Living room, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 2/5 Has a very strong waxy note to it. Generic sweet vanilla scent.

Warm Sniff: 3/5 That waxy note died down a lot, but was still there. There was an added sweet bakery note to the generic vanilla.

Scent Strength: 1/3

Scent Throw: 2/3 Filled most of the living room.

Melting Power: 3/5 I got about 5 hours of scent from half of a scent shot.

Repurchase: Pass. That waxy note was just a little too strong for me to fully enjoy this scent.

Beezy Tarts - Caramel Macchiato

Scent Description: Caramel, French Vanilla Creamer, & Freshly Brewed Coffee.

Date Received: May 17, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4/5 A typical coffee type scent. I usually associate this smell with Yankee Candle stores.

Warm Sniff: 4/5 A delicious, not-too-nutty, not-too-milky rendition of coffee. Slightly bakery-ish.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire kitchen, office, hallway, and entryway.

Melting Power: 5/5 Half of a scent shot lasted 9 and a half hours.

Repurchase: I'm going to go with yes. I really enjoyed this scent!

I don't think I've found 'The One' in terms of coffee blends so much as my nose has just undergone some changes. I feel like I'm less picky than I was a year ago. Either way, it opens up the scent horizons for me.

Satin Suzie Scents - Blackberry Jam Butter Cookies

Scent Description: Fresh baked butter cookies with a dollop of tart blackberry jam.

Date Poured: October 2, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.7 oz

Location of Warmer: Living room, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4/5 Slightly crunchy cookies with a healthy serving of sweet blackberries.

Warm Sniff: 4/5 That crunchy note to the cookies died down a bit, leaving an overall creamy BBJBC blend.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire living room.

Melting Power: 4/5  Half of a scent shot lasted a little under seven hours.

Repurchase: Yes! I guess my nose is going through another one of its changes, as I no longer find 'crunchy' bakery to be as off-putting as I used to.

Now that the temps are starting to drop, I've started melting again. Woo hoo!! Celebrate with me!

Location of Warmer: Living room, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 5/5 A delicious mix between spearmint and lavender.

Warm Sniff: 5/5 No surprises once melted.

Scent Strength: 3/3 That mint was hard not to notice!

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire living room with its scent

Melting Power: 5/5 Half of a scent shot lasted for over 10 hours before the scent started dying down.

Repurchase: Yes! A beautiful blend that performs well? Sign me right up!

Lasting Scent Candles - Fuzzy Baby Blanket

Scent Description: Lavender, baby blanket, and newborn freshness.

Date Received: April 8, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Living room, in tealight warmer.

Cold Sniff: 2.5/5 A weird combination of baby powder, herbal lavender, and... well, babies.

Warm Sniff: 3/5 The main note was an herbal lavender. The powdery note dissipated a bit, but was still noticeable. All in all, something I would expect to smell in a baby's room.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire living room.

Melting Power: 4/5 Half of a scent shot got about six and a half hours of scent.

Repurchase: No. Still not in the babymaking market, still have no plans for it, and still find it weird to be reminded of babies in my own home. LOL

Sniff My Tarts - Whipped Cream/Watermelon Cake

Scent Description:  Delicious, fluffy whipped cream with hints of whipped churned butter, blonde sugar cane, Madagascar vanilla, and vanilla extract/Fresh sliced Watermon and rich decadent cake.

Date Reviewed: December 27, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Living room, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 5/5 Deliciously juicy watermelons smothered in whipped cream and used as icing for a creamy cake.

Warm Sniff: 5/5 No real surprises once melted. At the very end of the melt the watermelon took on an artificial note.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: >3/3 This filled the living room, hallway, kitchen/dining area, and entryway.

Melting Power: 4/5 The 6 hour mark is when the watermelon took on an artificial plastic note and I dumped the wax.

Repurchase: Yup! Though I have a major lesson to learn: never leave coffee in the main room this wax is melting in. My cup of coffee tasted and smelled like waxy watermelon cake. Did I still drink it all? Yup. Do I regret it. Super yup. I needed a week long break from that specific coffee before I could smell it without reliving the watermelon-wax taste. LOL

Vintage Chic Scents - Strawberry Jackie O

Scent Description: Fresh strawberries birthday cake marshmallow noel.

Date Poured: February 8, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.7 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4.5/5 A sweet and delectably berry take on the ever loved Jackie O.

Warm Sniff: 4.5/5 No surprises once melted.

Scent Strength: 1/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the kitchen/dining area and hallway.

Melting Power: 4/5 I got  a little under 7 hours of scent from half of this tart.

Repurchase: Definitely, if I ever finish melting through the rest of this rose. I have a habit of letting wax sit, so I'm trying not to let that get too much worse this time around.

Olde Primitive Treasures - Lord of Misrule

Scent Description: Patchouli, sandalwood blend with hints of citrus and vetiver.

Date Received: March 1, 2016

Weight Melted: 1.2 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer.

Cold Sniff: 5/5 Delicious LoM, what's not to love?

Warm Sniff: 5/5 No surprises once melted.

Scent Strength: 1/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the kitchen/dining area and hallway with its scent.

Melting Power: 3/5 I got about 5.5 hours of scent from one tart.

Repurchase: Yes, but time is limited. I think. Lara moved all operations to her website Oh, My Tarts! with the intention of using up all of her supplies before moving to Germany. While writing this post I looked for more information and saw no more mention of their move, so I'm not entirely sure what's going on with the company or if it's actually shutting down. Either way, everything has been rebranded under Oh My Tarts and you should try them out. :)

Sniff My Tarts - Sugared Violets & Blueberry Noel

Excuse me while I try and apply my normal reviewing system to a hand-blended... well, blend.

Scent Description: No scent description available.

Weight Melted: Sugared Violets 0.6 oz, Blueberry Noel 0.7 oz

Location of Warmer: Living room, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4/5? How do I quantify this blend when the wax doesn't want to smush together enough to let both scents invade my nostrils? From what I could tell this seemed like a promising blend.

Warm Sniff: 5/5 I have a hard time describing florals. I always pick up on something powdery which influences the scent categories I blend my florals with. The most successful I've found is bakery, which contributed to this concoction. In short: a lovely springtime blend. In long? The warmth of late spring climbing in from open windows, promising comfortable warmth and happiness before the heat of summer sets in. Nearby fields of flowers boast of long adventures and games with friends. All the while, home beckons you with the scent of something sweet, something baked, something wonderful. It hints at blueberries, but you can't be sure while you're laying in the field of violets. As you drift off to sleep, these scents cling to you like dew to morning grass.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: >3/3 This filled the living room, bedroom, hallway, office, and part of the kitchen/dining area with its sweet springtime goodness.

Melting Power: 5/5 I got a little under 11 hours of scent from this concoction.

Re-Blend: Definitely! If you plan to order this as a blend from SMT, I highly suggest that you keep the Blueberry Noel at 50% or more of the blend, otherwise it will be drowned out by the Sugared Violets. I initially made this 2/3 violets and was extremely surprised at how much it overpowered the blueberry noel.

Sniff My Tarts - Cotton Candy Frosting/Grape/Pomegranate

Scent Description: Strawberry, Raspberry, Plum, sugary crystals and sweet vanilla/A strong, sweet and sour grape aroma/none available.

Date Received: December 27, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 2/5 There was an incredibly strong artificial grape note. Almost like a sweet, tart, cheaply scented/flavored children's makeup.

Warm Sniff: 5/5 That weird scent note completely died off, leaving a cavity inducing medley of tart grape, sweet pomegranate, and slightly creamy cotton candy frosting.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: >3/3 This filled the kitchen/dining area, hallway, office, part of the living room, and entryway with its sweet temptations.

Melting Power: 4/5 One chunk got a little over 7 hours of strong scent.

Repurchase: Definitely yes! Yet another prime example of why you cannot judge a blend by its cold sniff.

Sniff My Tarts - Marshmallow Noel/Vanilla Bean Noel/Blueberry Noel

Scent Description: "SMT Blend"/A rich, sweet vanilla sugar cookie with a slightly roasted marshmallow background and a hint of caramel/"SMT Blend"

Date Received: December 27, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.8 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 5/5 My beloved blueberry noel mixed with a healthy heaping of creamy vanilla.

Warm Sniff: 5/5 I expect vanilla scents to really tone down other scents when I blend them, but the blueberry noel stayed incredibly strong. I'm psyched about that. As for the end result - just a super creamy vanilla version of blueberry noel. Same enough to be blueberry noel, but different enough to warrant its own purchase.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 Filled the entire kitchen/dining area, hallway, and office.

Melting Power: 5/5 Half of a pie slice got me 10 hours of scent, and I probably could have pushed for more if I wanted.

Repurchase: Yes! As I stated in the Warm Sniff section, this blend is different enough from SMT's Blueberry Noel blend that I would recommend anyone who is a fan of vanilla and Blueberry Noel give this one a shot. I know I'm going to buy more once this runs out!

Rosegirls - Crazy Pants Fluff Puffs

Scent Description: Strawberry jam, green apple, monster cookie (brown sugar, sweet & creamy butter, Madagascar vanilla), marshmallow smoothie.

Date Received: April 24, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.8 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4.5/5 Sweet strawberry jam and a hint of apples mixed among cookie crumbs, then drizzled in icing. A sweet & bakery blend. I see why monster cookie is such a popular scent of RGs.

Warm Sniff: 4.5/5 I may have stumbled back on the RG train with this. No surprises, just delicious bakery awesomeness.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: >3/3 This filled the entire kitchen/dining area, hallway, office, entryway, and most of the living room.

Melting Power: 4/5 I got about 7 hours of scent from half a chunk.

Repurchase: Yes! This was delicious. I want to eat it. But I won't, because that's not advisable. LOL
