Vintage Chic Scents - Strawberry Jackie O

Scent Description: Fresh strawberries birthday cake marshmallow noel.

Date Poured: February 8, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.7 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4.5/5 A sweet and delectably berry take on the ever loved Jackie O.

Warm Sniff: 4.5/5 No surprises once melted.

Scent Strength: 1/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the kitchen/dining area and hallway.

Melting Power: 4/5 I got  a little under 7 hours of scent from half of this tart.

Repurchase: Definitely, if I ever finish melting through the rest of this rose. I have a habit of letting wax sit, so I'm trying not to let that get too much worse this time around.

Vintage Chic Scents - Little Briar Rose

Scent Description: Green apple pomegranate cotton candy frosting.

Date Poured: February 3, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4/5 A sweet and candylike apple scent.

Warm Sniff: 4/5 No surprises once melted. The apple scent was light but noticeable. If you're not an apple fan this would be a good scent.

Scent Strength: 1/3

Scent Throw: >3/3 This filled the kitchen/dining area, hallway, office, entryway, and part of the living room.

Melting Power: 4/5 I got about 6 and a half hours of scent from a quarter poinsettia.

Repurchase: Yes! I loved this scent. It was right up my alley in terms of sweet candy goodness, but light enough that it didn't suffocate me with its sweetness.

Vintage Chic Scents - The Blob

Scent Description: Pomegranate blackberry marshmallow

Date Poured: February 8, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.8 oz

Location of Warmer: Living room, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4.5/5 A super sweet concoction with just a little hint of tart blackberries to give it a bite.

Warm Sniff: 4.5/5 No surprises here. You know, I thought I was moving away from sweet scents. I can see now that is very much not the case.

Scent Strength: 1.5/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire living room.

Melting Power: 4/5 I got about 6 hours of scent from a quarter rose.

Repurchase: Yup! If I ever get back to consistently melting. I feel like I've made no dents in my stash this summer. Why, then, did I buy from TBG? Because I have no self control and I was reaching the end of a month and had money leftover from my 'allowance.' I'm very good at making adult decisions. LOL

Vintage Chic Scents - Snow White's Curse

Scent Description: Mac apple lollipops bubblegum cotton candy frosting.

Date Poured: February 4, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 3.5/5 Very sweet cotton candy gum mixed with a healthy dose of apples. I didn't choose this; M asked for apples. Nonetheless, I quite enjoyed it.

Warm Sniff: 3/5 Primarily an apple scent. There's a backdrop of sweet candy in the background taking a bit of the bite off of the apple.

Scent Strength: 1/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire kitchen/dining area, hallway, and office.

Melting Power: 3/5 I got about 4.5 hours from a quarter of a poinsetta.

Repurchase: No. I'm not much of an apple fan, and the scent didn't last as long as I expect from my tarts.

Vintage Chic Scents - Going Hollywood

Scent Description: Strawberry coconut cream marshmallow zucchini bread.

Date Poured: February 8, 2016

Weight Melted: 0.9 oz

Location of Warmer: Living room, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 4/5 Sweet and creamy strawberries with just a hint of coconut. No ZB to be found.

Warm Sniff: 4/5 Zucchini bread showed up as this melted, but it wasn't the icky tortilla chip ZB!! YAY! The end result was a creamy strawberry & coconut base sprinkled with sweet & soft bread.

Scent Strength: 1/3

Scent Throw: 1/3 This filled some of the living room.

Melting Power: <3/5. I wasn't in the living room for too much of the day while melting this, but I did notice that it did not throw very far nor did the scent last long. I noticed that the scent had died off before my tealight warmer burned out.

Repurchase: No. :( Bummer, because I finally found a ZB that didn't make me want to hurl my warmer out the window. The performance wasn't very strong. I'll melt another chunk of this in a different location to see if that helps, but for now it's a non-repurchase.

Scent Strength: 1/3

Scent Throw: 3/3 This filled the entire kitchen/dining area, hallway, and office.

Melting Power: 3/5 5 hours of scent from 1/4 of a tart.

Vintage Chic Scents - Jackie O in Atlantic City

Scent Description: Strawberry peach snow taffy marshmallow birthday cake noel.

Date Poured: 2-9-16

Weight Melted: 0.6 oz

Location of Warmer: Living room, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 3/5 A very sweet strawberry & peach blend with just a hint of what might be cake.

Warm Sniff: 4/5 I didn't pick up on the peach and forgot that was in this blend until I looked at the scent notes. I'm not sure about the snow taffy, either. I did, however, quite easily pick up on the strawberries & marshmallow birthday cake noel. Very delicious bakery blend.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: >3/3 This filled the entire living room, most of the master bedroom, hallway, kitchen/dining area, and office. Whoa!

Melting Power: 4/5 I got about 6 hours from a quarter of this rose.

Repurchase: Yes! I know not everyone gets stellar performance from VCS, but I've been fortunate enough to have really good performance from Kirby's wax so far!

Vintage Chic Scents - Tea Time Couture Event

Scent Description: Blueberry crumpets & earl grey tea.

Date Poured: 2-11-16

Weight Melted: 0.8 oz

Location of Warmer: Living room, in tealight warmer

Cold Sniff: 5/5 I smell authentic blueberry muffins. I know this because I had just eaten a blueberry muffin and this smelled exactly like it. I'm not sure where that tea was.

Warm Sniff: 5/5 No change. I'm curious if the tea made a difference in this scent or ended up drowned out by the blueberry.

Scent Strength: 2/3

Scent Throw: >3/3 This filled the entire house, even through the closed doors of the bathrooms! My goodness.

Melting Power: 4/5 6.5 hours of strong scent from this little buddy.

Repurchase: Yes! Even if I couldn't directly smell the earl grey tea, I'm in love with how this smells and the performance!

Haul: Vintage Chic Scents

I think it's well known to everyone that knows me that I have a hard time doing anything half way. I've jumped into working out at ~5 times a week, when I work out there's no such thing as going easy, when I work on a project I can't possibly put anything but my best forward... and when I try a new to me vendor, I go all in and try all the things. I've gotten much, much better in recent months, but there are still times when I accidentally go in a little too far and end up with a large flat rate box of new to me wax.

Vintage Chic Scents is one of those vendors that I went ham and picked up everything I could get my grubby little hands on. Okay, I had a list set up, but I didn't expect to get almost everything from my list!

I placed my order on February 19th and it shipped on February 23rd. On to what I got!
