Scent Description: Strawberry, Raspberry, Plum, sugary crystals and sweet vanilla/A strong, sweet and sour grape aroma/none available.
Date Received: December 27, 2016
Weight Melted: 0.9 oz
Location of Warmer: Kitchen, in tealight warmer
Cold Sniff: 2/5 There was an incredibly strong artificial grape note. Almost like a sweet, tart, cheaply scented/flavored children's makeup.
Warm Sniff: 5/5 That weird scent note completely died off, leaving a cavity inducing medley of tart grape, sweet pomegranate, and slightly creamy cotton candy frosting.
Scent Strength: 2/3
Scent Throw: >3/3 This filled the kitchen/dining area, hallway, office, part of the living room, and entryway with its sweet temptations.
Melting Power: 4/5 One chunk got a little over 7 hours of strong scent.
Repurchase: Definitely yes! Yet another prime example of why you cannot judge a blend by its cold sniff.
One of my SMT customs was downright rank on cold, but it became a totally different (and more delicious) animal once warmed. You're right, best to give 'em a try and see.
ReplyDeleteIck, I hate when that happens with scents! Good thing it turned itself around. The only scents I've melted that have turned out bad enough to throw out early are certain zucchini bread scents (puke/tortilla chips/dog feet... ick) and one blend that gave me a severe migraine. I don't know if this means I'm incredibly lucky or already know my scent likes and dislikes.
DeleteThis sounds like such an amazing blend!! I am glad it worked out for you once warmed!!
ReplyDeleteIt really is, for those who enjoy super sweet scents. I always tell myself to try new things when I experiment with blends... and then I end up back in the sweet category. Oops!
